Performance Opportunities
Clavinova Ensembles
The Clavinova Ensemble Adventures in the early Fall and the December Ensembles are a wonderful way for students to learn the art of ensemble playing. As added bonuses students gain valuable experience on a Yamaha Clavinova and build friendships with students from other studios.
OMTA District & State Achievement Auditions
The purpose of the OMTA Achievement Auditions is to provide a noncompetitive event to recognize and encourage individual achievement without comparison to, or contrast with, other students of similar age and length of study.
COMTA Solo & Ensemble Festival
Students have the opportunity to perform 1 or 2 memorized repertoire pieces. There are t-shirts that will be sold to match the event. Students are encouraged to purchase a t-shirt and then wear it to their auditions. There is also an un-memorized division for students who struggle with memory work. This is the only event with this type of division
National Piano Guild Auditions
The National Piano Guild Auditions give students the opportunity to perform a large selection of memorized repertoire. Spending 25-30 minutes with a judge and being adjudicated in over 40 areas of piano technique. These auditions are an incredible experience for the dedicated and hard-working student.
Kamp Keyboard
To provide piano students of active OMTA members with an opportunity for a week-long day camp that will provide students with master classes by a respected artist, collaborative performance opportunities, focused study on musical elements and community building with other local piano students.
